SUMMER GOLF OUTING
The Appleton Education Foundation holds an annual golf outing as its major fundraiser. The event helps to defray operating expenses and preserve endowment funds for direct educational enhancements.
Each year more than 100 people participate. Players include a wide range of Foundation supporters, including donors, board members, school district staff members, representatives of local businesses and school district vendors.
To make the outing interesting, unique and also educational, the Foundation initiated the Master’s Knowledge Challenge in 2006. Community sponsors submit multiple-choice questions that are placed on tee boxes on the golf course. Each event foursome, as a team, answers the questions during its round of play. Each member of the winning foursome receives a $250 gift certificate to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
The 10th Annual outing will be held Friday, July 18, 2008, at Winagamie Golf Course, Neenah.
