History of the Appleton Education Foundation

In 1997, a visionary group of parents and community leaders saw the need to provide classroom teachers accessible, flexible resources to enhance student learning.  To date, the independent Appleton Education Foundation (AEF) they formed has awarded grants totaling more than $1 million to fund educational programs not financed by public sources.

Roosevelt Middle School staff members and students were trained to know what bullying looks like and how to address it as part of their "Be the Change" anti-bullying campaign.  AEF grant funding supported a performance by Climb Theatre to help enforce the message to an all-school audience.
